Magnesium alloy.

A classic "fifty kopeck" for mirrorless cameras with a Leica SL bayonet mount. Panasonic's full-frame cameras of the S series belong to this category. The model is assembled in a magnesium alloy body with dimensions of 82 mm in length and a weight of about 300 g. The optical design of the fixed lens has 9 elements in 8 groups, including three aspherical elements, UHR. The 9-blade aperture is responsible for effectively blurring the background behind the main subject.

Videographers will appreciate the ability to smoothly change the aperture in the model. The Panasonic 50mm f/1.8 S is also equipped with a quiet and fast linear autofocus motor with a focusing distance of 45 cm. The maximum magnification is 0.14. Light filters of a common size 67 mm in diameter are wound onto the front frame of the lens. Of the controls, the model got hold of only a slide switch for the operating modes of the automatic focusing system (AF / MF). For the model, the water protection of the case from atmospheric influences of the external environment is claimed.
