Lightweight and compact, convenient to wear if your wrist is not large, including sleeping and monitoring health indicators. The strap is surprisingly durable and eco-friendly, does not chafe, and the wrist does not sweat. Health indicators are super convenient and, except for blood pressure measurement, quite accurate. Notifications are super convenient, app and device control, The mechanical bezel is clearly better than the touch one here; the battery lasts exactly one day, you judge whether that's bad or enough. There are occasional lags, whether due to the interface or dirty hands; not critical, but competitors offer a smoother experience. Also, if there were a mechanical bezel, this wouldn't happen. |
Almost a month into using it, the display started to burn out. I'm aware of OLED burn-in, but not after just one month. The brightness was no higher than 30-40 percent. Always on display was turned on (which is expected in a watch). Returned under warranty, but the official service center concluded that everything is fine and there are no defects. A sturdy construction that withstood several drops from a height of over a meter onto tiles. Convenient interface and stable updates. The main advantage of Galaxy Watch 5 is its expanded capabilities for monitoring health and sports. The watch measures pulse, blood oxygen levels, blood pressure and makes an ECG. The BioActive sensor analyzes body composition: percentage of muscle, fluid and fat tissue. Feminine cycle, stress and sleep monitoring are also included, and the watch tracks snoring using a microphone. There are many sports programs for active users.
Everything you need
The watch supports the Google Assistant voice assistant, NFC for making purchases and GPS. Pairing with a smartphone allows you to receive and make calls. There is a version with LTE that supports e-SIM. The 284 mAh battery provides one to two days of battery life, and 10W fast wireless charging charges the battery up to 45% in 30 minutes.
The case is made of aluminum, the Super AMOLED display with sapphire glass is scratch-resistant. MIL-STD-810 military grade and IP68 rating ensure durability and use in extreme environments. The watch is available in 40mm and 44mm sizes. The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro model features a titanium case and a larger battery.
