Compact solid-state drive targeting professionals with support for PCIe 5.0 interface, NVMe 2.0 protocol, and a removable graphene heatsink. One of the key features of the model is the use of 8th generation V-NAND memory with a three-bit cell structure (TLC), which ensures high write density and device durability. For the 2TB drive, the manufacturer claims sequential read and write speeds of up to 7250 and 6300 MB/s, with 4K block efficiency reaching up to 1,350,000 IOPS.
The 990 EVO Plus is based on a modern 5 nm Samsung-developed Piccolo controller. Great fast memory. Programs, games, anything launches instantly. Compared to the 970 EVO, the difference is not very noticeable, but next to an HDD, it's like comparing a sports car with a compact car. The attached test screenshots show it falling slightly short of the stated claims, but I think that's due to my PC configuration.
