Model overview based on user reviews
The Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 SSD is highly praised for its exceptional speed and reliability, making it a top choice for both system and gaming use. Users report that the read and write speeds often exceed manufacturer claims, significantly enhancing system performance compared to traditional SSDs. Despite its high performance, the SSD tends to heat up under prolonged load, a common issue with NVMe drives, suggesting the need for additional cooling solutions like a heatsink or improved ventilation. While the price is higher than some competitors, many users find it justified by the drive's stable operation and high endurance. Installation is straightforward, and the compact M.2 format is appreciated, although some users note a lack of MacOS support. Overall, the Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 is considered a must-have for modern systems, offering a balance of speed, quality, and reliability, albeit at a premium price.

I've been using it for a year and a half, before that the system was on a regular HDD and it was its weakest link, the lag was just unbearable. After installation, the PC "came to life." I split it in half, one partition for the operating system and various software, the other for games and work files. Everything else remained on the HDD. Fast, speed matches what the manufacturer claims. In my mind, every day. |
Bought for the system in April 2021 for 7300 Decent speed, but if you, like me, used sane ssds for the system before, then you won’t notice much of a difference. It gets hot, unlike a regular external SSD, I have a native heatsink from the motherboard on it and the temperature in idle mode is 50-55 degrees with 5 turntables in the system unit! In recording mode, the temperature can easily rise to 60-65, but this is not critical, but the difference from external SSDs is obvious! |
Not the cheapest, but a reliable drive from Samsung. The speed is accurate, it works stably, and the buffer is sufficient. I use it for the system, games, and various work programs. I decided to write a review to draw attention to the video I made some time ago. It is hanging somewhere on the tab with the video. Reliability, speed, design, no throttling. Price) |
