First of all, let's pay attention to the fact that in the upper right corner of the model there is an OLED screen with a resolution of 128x40. Any image can be displayed on the display. The screen is capable of displaying useful key combinations. The text field makes it easy to work with macro commands and switch between user profiles.
A pass-through USB connector is available, providing convenient connection of a flash drive, smartphone and other devices. The SteelSeries Apex 7 TKL Red Switch PC gaming keyboard features improved switches. It is possible to adjust the actuation point (from 0.4 to 3.6 mm) provided the keys have a full travel of 4 mm. An aluminium alloy plate is used for the top cover. The keyboard comes with a palm rest.
The working surface of the stand is SoftTouch, pleasant to the touch. The stand uses a practical and reliable magnetic mount. The device is connected using a permanent cord. The connecting wire can be routed to any side of the housing. An integrated channel is provided for this purpose. Next to the OLED screen is a durable metal scroll wheel and an additional button. To easily customize lighting effects and program buttons, proprietary SteelSeries Engine software is used.
