Ultra-efficient dual-band Wi-Fi signal amplifier (repeater) class AC2600. Designed to eliminate "dead zones" and significantly expand the coverage of Wi-Fi 5 wireless networks. The manufacturer is positioned as a model of the upper part of the middle price category, which is designed for use in large multi-room apartments, private houses and cottages, as well as in offices. The TP-LINK RE650 repeater connects to an existing Wi-Fi router and provides high-quality coverage in places where the router's signal strength is not enough.
With a high-performance hardware platform, MU-MIMO 4x4 multi-streaming support, and four external antennas, this model delivers up to 800/1733 Mbps (2.4/5 GHz) peak throughput. This is quite enough for watching and streaming high-quality 4K streaming video, comfortable network gaming, clear operation of cloud services and web applications, receiving / transmitting large files and other tasks that require significant amounts of network data. Gigabit Ethernet class cable LAN port can provide fast wired connection for SmartTV, desktop PC and game consoles.

The device in its kind and price range is unique. I bought it as an upgrade for my old but perfectly working RT-N56U router. They worked in tandem through a gigabit cable router (WAN-LAN) + access point (Wi-Fi). They worked excellently... BUT! Exactly for 2 years. Exactly. The warranty period. And then BAM, and the 5 GHz disappeared. Took it to the service, they said the 5 GHz modem was done for, with a 50/50 chance of replacement, meaning such an attempt could completely ruin the device (it requires very fine soldering), and the modem itself cost 5500 rubles. That is essentially the one and only major downside. Yes, maybe it just coincided, yes maybe I was just "lucky" and for you it might last 10 years, but something tells me that in a consumer world it is supposed to break. Speed of operation Stability of the signal Ease of setup MU-MIMO is just top-notch! Especially when there are many different devices with different Wi-Fi versions in the house, now the old devices don't slow down the others Estimated service life (see comments) |
An excellent model really expands the coverage area with minimal signal loss. Perhaps the only one I’ve used that slows down the speed a little. I needed to extend the coverage area in a private house of 245 sq. m without losing speed. It handled it brilliantly. Probably the price, although it’s better to buy it than a bunch of other junk use TP-LINK TL-RE650 less than month |
