LFE input
— LFE is an English abbreviation corresponding to the term "low frequency effects". Unlike a regular subwoofer input, the LFE is not just filtered low frequencies, but a special signal that provides richer sound effects (hence the name). The presence of such an input expands the capabilities of the subwoofer and allows it to be used with advanced multi-channel sound systems. Note that the standard input can also play the role of the LFE connector — when switching to the appropriate mode.
