Acrylic sealants
prices on 17 models— sealants (see "Type") based on acrylic are one of the most popular varieties of such compositions. Last but not least, the reason for this is their low cost. Also note that acrylic sealants perfectly “cling” to porous surfaces such as wood, drywall or foam concrete, and after hardening they can be processed with emery, priming and painting. At the same time, the resistance of sealants of this type is low, they are not designed for atmospheric precipitation, temperature changes and surfaces subject to thermal deformation. Therefore, such tools are used only for internal work.
Acrylic sealants are divided into waterproof and non-waterproof. The latter dissolve well in water, therefore they do not tolerate high humidity; at the same time, when working with deep cracks, such a sealant can simply be poured there, diluted with water. Waterproof sealants are more resistant not only to moisture, but also to low temperatures, have higher adhesion and can even be used for bathrooms (although they are not designed for constant contact with water, for example, in a pool).
