Neutral sealants
prices on 1 modelNeutral
— neutral cure silicone (alkoxy/oxime) that does not release acetic acid, making it safe for mirrors, natural stone, aluminum, copper, galvanized and mineral substrates. Its purpose is to provide long-lasting sealing of joints and connections both indoors and outdoors (glazing, showcases, showers, facade joints, windowsill areas), maintaining elasticity during temperature fluctuations and vibrations. It is resistant to UV rays and moisture, and in "sanitary" versions, also to mold. Unlike acetic silicones, neutral does not cause corrosion or darkening of stone/mirror edges, adheres better to dissimilar materials, but is usually more expensive and sets slightly slower. Compared to acrylic, it is unpaintable (like any silicone) but significantly more elastic and water-resistant, which is critical in wet and moving areas.
