Bituminous

— sealants (see "Type") based on bituminous resins. They are mainly used for outdoor work — in particular, for the installation of foundations and drainage, as well as for sealing cracks in the roof. Bituminous sealants adhere well to various building and insulating materials, including brick, wood, metal, aerated concrete and foam concrete. Under the influence of high temperatures, such compositions become fluid, so they are not well suited for places that are in direct sunlight or are exposed to strong heat from another heat source (heating pipes, chimney, etc.).
