Markers

— a type of felt-tip pens (see the relevant paragraph) that has thick tips and is intended mainly for drawing fairly wide lines. At the same time, many markers have a bevelled tip, which allows you to adjust the thickness of the line to a certain extent by turning and tilting the tool relative to the surface; however, more traditional, rounded tips are also found. Also note that markers can vary in ink composition and, accordingly, application: in particular, there are washable markers for whiteboards that are indelible on paper and other similar surfaces, text selection tools that give bright and at the same time transparent colours, specialized markers for drawing, etc.
