— oil-based ink delivers a super-opaque, long-lasting line, especially on rough or dirty surfaces—wood, rubber, concrete, corrugated cardboard. The stroke goes on thick, water-resistant, and lightfast, making it suitable for outdoor marking and repairs. In terms of adhesion and durability, these markers often outperform alcohol-based ones, but they have a stronger smell, take longer to build up density in the cold, and require ventilation when used indoors.
