OLED TVs
OLED TVs
— TVs that use Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) technology. This improves contrast, brightness and colour quality compared to more traditional LCD screens; in addition, such LEDs are well suited for thin screens, including curved. Note that both the backlight of a conventional LCD and the entire screen can be built on the basis of OLED; in the second case, these advantages are more pronounced, however, such TVs are not cheap. The main disadvantages of OLED TVs are the high price (which, however, is constantly decreasing as the technology develops and improves), as well as the susceptibility of organic pixels to burn-in during long-term broadcast of static images or pictures with static elements (TV channel logo, information panel, etc.).Show
