At the mention of the Taiwanese brand ASRock, an association with inexpensive but functional motherboards arises in the minds of most gamers. And when it comes to video cards from ASRock, it comes as a surprise to many. However, ASRock itself does not create much hype during releases, its model range is limited to only 4 series, while some models rarely enter the east european market. This is largely explained by the fact that ASRock works exclusively with Radeon, ignoring the much more popular NVIDIA graphics cards.
The Phantom Gaming models are in the greatest demand in our region, which take their toll due to the combination of affordable prices and advanced functionality inherent in A-class video cards. The basis of the Phantom Gaming line consists of Radeon RX 6×00 XT graphics cards based on AMD RDNA 2 architecture. The approach to design, overclocking and equipping is reminiscent of other near-cool series such as Palit GamePro, PowerColor Red Devil or MSI Gaming Trio with modified printed circuit boards, factory overclocking, improved cooling systems and other charms.
For example, the near-prototype Radeon RX 6700 XT in the Phantom Gaming variation relies on the forces of the Phantom proprietary cooling system with three coolers, a metal backplate, an additional stiffness plate and a double aluminium radiator with five copper heat pipes. In the best traditions of A-class video accelerators, this model could not do without an address ARGB backlight with a Polychrome Sync synchronization system. An unusual feature was a separate button for turning off the backlight and opening for additional LED strips.
