Diving cameras
For underwater photography
— cameras designed for underwater photography. By design, they are digital compacts (see "Type of camera"), made in sealed cases with a high degree of protection. However note that the maximum immersion depth in different models can be different, it should be specified separately; however, anyway, such a device will allow you to successfully shoot at a depth of several metres at least. Of course, in terms of image quality, it will be inferior to a SLR or mirrorless camera in a special box — on the other hand, "underwater" compacts are much cheaper, and their small size can be an important advantage.Also note that on the market you can find cameras that do not belong to this category, but still have additional water protection — and among them there are cameras of all types, including those with interchangeable lenses.
