The SHQ series from the Dutch brand Phillips are exceptionally lightweight, high-quality headphones with a waterproof housing and behind-the-ear design. They are designed for users who lead an active lifestyle and exercise regularly.

Most of the representatives of this series refers to the form factor of the inserts. In-channel models with passive noise isolation are much less common. A standard 3.5 mm minijack is used for connection. Wireless earbuds are much rarer, and we haven't seen any true wireless models at all.

Thanks to the adjustable earhook, the headphones are securely fixed and do not fall out during active movement, running and intense training. IPX2/IPX4 moisture resistance protects the earbuds from rain or sweat, but they are not intended for full-fledged trips to the pool.

The SHQ models do not have a built-in noise reduction system, NFC and other chips of modern wireless headphones. Additional functions are most often limited to a remote control with a microphone on a cable, with which the headphones can be used as a hands-free headset. Instead, Phillips focused on sound quality and often used neodymium magnets with massive Mylar diaphragms.
