— the largest number of batteries found in the original configuration of a modern power tools.The presence of several batteries is very convenient for long continuous work: it allows to reduce, if not eliminate, breaks for charging. See "2 Batteries" for details; and this option is a further development of this idea, aimed at ensuring that almost guaranteed to get rid of breaks for charging. On the other hand, numerous batteries correspondingly affects the cost of the kit, while the real need for three batteries occurs relatively rarely (and even in this case, nothing prevents you from purchasing the required number of batteries separately). Therefore, this configuration option is not widely used nowadays.
