Vertical thrust

— an exercise that involves pulling a loaded handle from top to bottom, usually in a sitting position. It is very similar to pull-ups, only the athlete in this case does not work with his own weight, but with any load within the capabilities of the simulator, which is much more convenient. Refers to exercises for a muscle group; the load with vertical traction goes to the arms, chest and upper back. The specific muscle groups worked depend on the grip: for example, the wide grip row on the head develops mainly the latissimus dorsi, but also involves the upper back, biceps, certain muscles of the shoulder girdle and some other muscles.
