So, in most models, the leg press is carried out while sitting, in a horizontal direction; however, there are also Hack machines with this function (see "Product type" for details). Anyway, the leg press works mainly on the thigh muscles — quadriceps and biceps, similar to the same squats. However, this technique is safer, since it loads the spine and lower back less, and it allows you to train with almost any weight (whereas squats are performed at least with the athlete’s weight).
