A family of inexpensive 2.5 format SSDs with a SATA3 connection interface. Thanks to the use of inexpensive TLC-memory, CL models have one of the most affordable cost of one gigabyte of memory in terms of dollars. Thanks to affordable prices, GOODRAM CL SSDs can be an excellent choice for an economical upgrade of an existing system. Fortunately, the 2.5 format is versatile and can be used with equal success in laptops, compact cases, and full-size PCs.

Most models of the CL series are simple solid-state devices with low-cost controllers, without additional cooling radiators, lighting, and other amenities. The main thing is that the memory chips are of high quality, preferably from a trusted manufacturer. Thanks to this approach, Goodram manages to keep one of the lowest prices on the market - the younger version of the 120 GB CL drive usually costs around $20.

Over the entire existence of the CL series, only 3 SSD drives have been released in it, each of which developed the ideas of its predecessors. The main difference between them lies in the specific type of memory (TLC NAND or simply TLC), linear read / write speeds and maximum storage volumes. If the first generation CL100 recorded data at a speed of 320 MB / s, in subsequent revisions this figure increased to 380 MB / s. Also, the second and third versions of the drive have slightly increased IOPS, and the maximum available storage capacity has increased from 480 to 960 GB.
