Many air conditioners with this power supply are able to operate from standard household sockets, except that models with power consumption of more than 3 – 3.5 kW may require a special connection format. Anyway, 230 V is enough for most modern devices, and such mains are available almost anywhere where there is electricity at all. So it is single-phase power that is most popular nowadays, it can be found even in powerful and heavy equipment, designed for an area of 150 m² or more.
