— hobs equipped with at least one halogen type electric burner. Often this is the only type of burner in the design. However, there are models with different types of heaters.

Halogen burners have two heating elements: a classic spiral (as in solid plates) and a powerful halogen lamp. They are installed under the glass-ceramic surface. Thanks to this device, the response rate to power changes is noticeably higher than that of traditional solid plate heaters. The main disadvantage of halogen burners is the relatively short lamp life (usually 2-3 years).
