Cookers with bridge mode
Bridge mode
— bridge mode is a feature found in some induction and Hi-Light hobs that allows two or more adjacent electric burners to be combined into one heater. This mode is particularly useful for working with elongated cookware such as goose makers. The "bridge" usually appears as a single elongated heater with individual parts that can be turned on independently as burners. Additional functions may include different power settings for different parts of the "bridge" and automatic heating when cookware is present on the burner. An alternative to the Bridge mode can be an oval heating zone (see the relevant paragraph); it can also be provided in gas burners unlike the "bridge".
