— adapters, or adapters, have two main features that distinguish them from cables. Firstly, this is a relatively small working length: even adapters with a wire are made very short, and the traditional design of the adapter is two connectors from different ends of the same housing, without any wires at all. Secondly, the connectors in adapters are usually different, since this is the original idea of such devices — to ensure compatibility between initially different interfaces. However, there is an exception to this rule — more precisely, even two. The first option is models with absolutely identical connectors on different sides, for example, VGA sockets (female). They are also adapters, since they allow you to connect connectors that are not directly compatible with each other; in our example, these are two plugs (male) of the VGA type.
