Model overview based on user reviews
The Razer Basilisk V3 is a wired gaming mouse that impresses with its Razer Focus+ sensor offering a resolution of 26,000 DPI, making it highly accurate and stable in gaming scenarios. Users appreciate its ergonomic design, which is particularly comfortable for those with a "claw" grip, although it may not suit those with larger hands. The mouse features optomechanical switches that are fast and reliable, and its build quality is praised for being sturdy and well-made. The addition of an RGB lighting strip with nine customizable zones enhances its aesthetic appeal, especially in low-light conditions. However, some users note that the mouse has become heavier compared to its predecessor due to the added lighting. While the cable is flexible and almost feels wireless, some users wish for a wireless option. The mouse's software allows for extensive customization, including programmable buttons and lighting effects. Despite minor concerns about the durability of certain components, the Basilisk V3 is considered a top choice within its price range, offering excellent performance and features for both gaming and work.

Considering the new features of the mouse, I advise you to take a closer look at Basilisk V2
1 February 2022
Previously purchased both the 1st and 2nd version of the basilisk, really liked the mice.
Comparing with V2, I can note the following:
- an additional backlight strip with 9 zone settings has appeared. It looks very beautiful, especially at night.
- due to the addition of extra lighting, the form factor of the mouse has changed (it has become heavier and taller than V2).

good model, done well
29 October 2025
The mouse is good, the software is excellent, intuitive and quite sizable. The quality of the mouse itself is top-notch, the only downside is the button noise - at night, the clicking can be heard throughout the entire house.
Quality, features, good software

The best mouse that has no competitors in its budget
The sensor, which based on "dry" specifications, performs better than top mice from Logitech. In games, it performs very stably, the DPI is correctly encoded and I think the sensor "drop" is not possible.

Ergonomics - I previously used mice shaped like the Logitech G Pro X, switched to this one, and fell in love. The plastic is rough on top for a more secure grip, with rubber inserts on the left and right which also provide a firmer hold. As a user of a "claw" grip, I really liked it, but for people with a "palm" grip and large hands, it might be uncomfortable.

I'd describe the switches as just "normal". The buttons themselves are quiet, according to Razer's claims, they use optomechanical switches here which are supposed to be 3 times faster than regular ones, but I didn't notice a speed difference compared to just good Kailh switches.

I also want to mention the body, it is well-made, the mouse doesn't rattle, doesn't make noise, doesn't squeak, and there is no mouse base or side travel.

For me, the main advantage of this mouse is the price, with similar characteristics, build, quality, and price (up to 2500-3000 UAH), there are simply no similar mice.
I wanted wireless, but for this price, thank you.
