A compact and powerful NAS solution for storing, backing up, and sharing data. The model is a representative of the 2023 DiskStation series, belongs to the middle class and is designed for home users and small businesses. Synology DiskStation DS723+ combines advanced functionality, a user-friendly web interface, and the ability to store and organize up to 40 TB of data. The device supports 10GbE connectivity for improved data transfer speeds, as well as two NVMe drive slots that can be used for accelerated SSD caching.
The NAS is equipped with two 3.5" hot-swappable hard drive bays with the ability to create various RAID configurations (RAID 0, RAID 1, JBOD, Basic, and Synology Hybrid RAID). In terms of connections, the device has two Gigabit LAN ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, and one eSATA port for connecting expansion modules. The NAS server is powered by a dual-core AMD Ryzen R1600 processor (2.6 - 3.1 GHz), the initial amount of DDR4 RAM is 2 GB RAM expandable up to 32 GB.
The system is managed using a user-friendly web interface based on the proprietary Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) OS, which provides easy access to tools for organizing files, backing up data, and managing multimedia resources. DS723+ supports many server functions, including web and FTP servers, a media server (DLNA, iTunes, uPnP), BitTorrent client, mail server and database server, as well as backup server. NAS can also manage IP cameras, turning into a full-fledged IP camera video management system.
