The Helios Neo 16 PHN16-71 line from Acer has expanded the Predator gaming series and includes 16-inch laptops for gaming in the mid- and advanced price segment. Models of this family are capable of satisfying very demanding users, providing consistently high FPS even on ultra settings in many current AAA titles. Laptops can also be used for other resource-intensive tasks, including video processing and working with professional software.
All Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 PHN16-71 laptops are equipped with a 16-inch IPS screen with a 165 Hz refresh rate and support for NVIDIA G-Sync adaptive synchronization technology. In all configurations, users can count on 100% sRGB color gamut, and in the top ones, peak brightness increased to 500 nits and a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels. The 13th generation Intel Raptor Lake processors are responsible for performance here, ranging from a 14-core Core i5 to a 24-core Core i9.
The engine’s performance is helped by DDR5 RAM with a capacity of 16 to 32 GB, and graphics processing is handled by a discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series card, which, in addition to hardware ray tracing, has support for VR and machine learning algorithms to improve gaming performance. Among the other hardware in the line, it is worth highlighting SSD M.2 solid-state drives (from 512 GB), a high-quality cooling system and the presence of a Killer Ethernet E2600 controller with a gigabit LAN port, as well as a Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless module. Other nice bonuses of the laptops are a 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard, the presence of a Thunderbolt v4 port, and a battery powered by USB C (Power Delivery), providing up to 8 hours of battery life.
