Model overview based on user reviews
The AMD Ryzen 7 Raphael series offers a range of processors that are highly regarded for their performance and value. Users appreciate the low price for an 8-core processor, making it an attractive option for those seeking power on an AM5 socket. The processors, such as the 7700 OEM and 7800X3D BOX, are noted for their speed and ability to handle demanding tasks, including gaming at ultra settings. The 7800X3D BOX, in particular, is praised for its extra cache for gaming and good price-to-performance ratio, although some users mention that the prices can be inflated by resellers. The processor is ideal for new builds, especially with DDR5 and a new 2023 socket, offering future-proofing potential. However, upgrading from DDR4 may not be cost-effective due to the need for additional high-end components. Overall, the Ryzen 7 Raphael series is a solid choice for those building a new PC, offering low temperatures and overclocking capabilities with the right setup.

Cons

Proc gun, but better not take it if you have the same Ryzen 7 5800X3D

The processor is worth the cost, but only if you're building a PC from scratch: with a Noctua NH-D15 or direct chip cooling with the lid removed, and an 8+8 pin board for overclocking on a B650E, you'll be set for at least 5 years. If you're upgrading from DDR4, the cost isn't justified since a top processor should also have a top graphics card, an advanced motherboard, and RAM on Samsung A-Die chips.

Online stores unrealistically jack up the prices—I can find an official factory on Taobao in China and buy the processor for $450 + a bit of shipping, rather than from reseller stores at $600.
• Low temperature with removed IHS (in skilled hands)
• Extra cache for gaming
• Good price-to-performance ratio
• Overclockable, albeit with some tricks
• DDR5 and a new 2023 socket with prospects
• Brazenly inflated prices at reseller stores
• Too expensive if upgrading a PC with DDR4
• Expensive future-proof B650E/X670E 8+8 pin boards

Didn't expect this, in games the processor heats up to a maximum of 60-65 degrees, sometimes even less, and everything was cooled with the help of Deepcool AK620 Zero Dark.
Price for 8-core processor in my opinion is low, Speed
Perhaps there are no drawbacks at all.

Progressive Zen 4 architecture

Part of AMD's "Raphael" family, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D is part of their Ryzen 7000 series processors based on the Zen 4 architecture. It features eight cores that support sixteen threads. Its base clock frequency is 4.2 GHz, and the maximum frequency in automatic overclocking mode reaches 5.0 GHz.

Unique three-layer cache memory

A key feature of the Ryzen 7000 X3D line of processors is a unique three-dimensional cache memory called 3D V-Cache. The idea of these processors is to increase the amount of cache memory by verticalizing the memory and using an additional SRAM crystal. For example, if the regular Ryzen 7 7700 has a third-level cache limited to 32 MB, then the Ryzen 7 7800X3D has an impressive 96 MB! Processor cache plays a key role in improving performance in games and other applications due to its ability to reduce data access time.

King of Video Games

The use of 3D cache has effectively turned the Ryzen 7 7800X3D into the best gaming processor of 2023. It's powerful, cool, energy efficient, and its gaming performance is on par with the top models from the Ryzen 9 and Intel Core i9 series. This chip is designed to work with new generation components (AM5 socket, DDR5 memory, PCI-E 5.0 buses), allowing you to build a promising gaming PC on its basis for games in 2K and 4K. The AM5 platform is just gaining momentum and will not lose relevance in a couple of years, like the Intel LGA 1700. The only negative is mediocre performance in professional applications, so for working in conventional Photoshop or DaVinci Resolve it is better to choose a more suitable processor.
