The flagship processor AMD Ryzen from the Vermeer family, which represents an impressive combination of computing power and advanced technologies. It is part of the top-tier ninth subseries of Ryzen chips, belonging to the high-end price segment, and is targeted at gamers, enthusiasts, and workstation owners for processing multimedia content, audio, video, and graphic rendering, engineering calculations, compilation, etc.
Designed for installation in motherboards equipped with the AMD AM4 processor socket and AMD 500 series chipsets (compatibility with B450/X470 chipset boards depends on the manufacturer). From a technical standpoint, the Ryzen 9 5950X is an ultra-powerful 16-core 7-nanometer processor based on the advanced Zen 3 microarchitecture. Thanks to its support for multithreaded data processing, it can efficiently perform multiple tasks simultaneously, which is especially valuable for professional users and gamers working with resource-intensive applications and multitasking.
Its base clock frequency is 3.4 GHz, and with Turbo Boost, it can accelerate up to 4.9 GHz. The 64 MB L3 cache reduces latency and provides quick access to critical data. I bought it for 15 thousand in the winter of 2021. Even now, the processor is competitive. Yes, it consumed 170 Watts at peak moments for me, averaging 110 in very demanding games. But paired with a good graphics card, which I don't have, it can perform well. For its die size and at its time, it is very powerful There are no miracles, and a bottleneck can occur at 26-30 CPU usage in SOME modern games.
