A full-format elite-level ATX motherboard with an LGA 1700 processor socket and the flagship Intel Z790 chipset, which is designed to work with 12th, 13th and 14th generation Intel Core processors (Alder Lake, Raptor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh families). It is a representative of the 2023 Asus Republic Of Gamers overclocking family, whose products are famous for their increased reliability and excellent overclocking potential.
To optimize the overclocking process, the motherboard is equipped with a set of software and hardware solutions, including AI Overclocking technology, which helps find the optimal balance between performance and heating level, a smart AI Overclocking optimizer and its own AEMP II RAM overclocking complex. In addition to overclocking capabilities, the manufacturer focuses on the convenience of the board, including the Q-Antenna Wi-Fi connector, Clear CMOS buttons, convenient screwless latches for M.2 SSD and push-button latches for the video card.
The use of a 19-phase power subsystem and high-quality element base (improved PCB, Japanese capacitors, silent case chokes) allows us to consider the board as the basis for the ultimate gaming/work assembly with a Core i9-level processor and a GeForce RTX 4090 video card. In terms of connections, Asus ROG STRIX The Z790-A GAMING WIFI II supports one massive graphics card, five high-speed NVMe SSD drives, and its maximum amount of DDR5-8000 RAM can reach 192 GB.
In addition to gaming capabilities, it is worth noting a solid set of additional tools and connection ports, including HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 and USB C 3.2 gen2×2, as well as a built-in network controller with a 2.5-Gigabit LAN port and a Wi-Fi 7 wireless receiver. And a built-in audio path ROG SupremeFX stands out thanks to the use of the high-end amplifier Savitech SV3H712.
