An all-in-one motherboard from the 2023 Asus Prime product line designed for builds with next generation Ryzen processors and DDR5 memory. It is a representative of the universal Asus Prime series, whose products are more designed for office assemblies, multimedia systems and entry-level workstations. At the same time, due to its advanced hardware and a very efficient 10-phase power converter, it can successfully play the role of the foundation for a mid-range gaming build with a Ryzen 5 processor, plenty of memory and an Nvidia RTX 4070 graphics card.
The board is equipped with an AM5 processor socket, which AMD in 2022 replaced the universal, but obsolete AM4 socket. Designed to work with Ryzen 7000 and later series chips. Equipped with four DIMM DDR5 slots with support for multi-channel operation and XMP profiles for memory auto-overclocking. The maximum declared volume can reach 128 GB, the maximum clock frequency is 6400 MHz.
The introduction of the PCIe 4.0 system bus frees up your hands when designing a disk subsystem, allowing you to install a reactive SSD in the system, which significantly speeds up the loading of HD textures from shared memory into the video card memory. The slot layout allows you to install a pair of M.2 SSDs and four standard drives with a SATA3 connection in the system.
There is also an integrated RAID controller on board, which allows you to artificially combine all drives into a single disk array. Additional bonuses in the Asus PRIME B650-PLUS sleeve are USB-C 3.2 gen2 interface support, a 2.5 Gb / s network controller, a TPM connector, extensions for installing LED strips, as well as reinforced slots for a video card and additional cooling of the M.2. In general, such a sample of the motherboard will look equally appropriate both in a modern workstation and in a fairly powerful gaming PC with water cooling and addressable backlighting.

Bought it a year ago, after a month it needed servicing, the BIOS crashed before that aida64 detected system instability, now ASUS software doesn’t always work correctly. Had a separate issue with SSD M.2, it’s just ridiculous how it almost snapped without the purchased heatsink, the standard thin plates bent. Also curious if everyone experiences SSD working noise in headphones and speakers (something similar to speaker noise when a mobile phone is near). Now I can distinguish which SSD is working by the noise in the headphones, and the cheap and expensive ones sound very different with these noises. availability of a radiator on SSD, service was done quickly. sSD without a heatsink should not be installed, new platform with many glitches. |
