Based on an optimized 10nm process, it is designed for installation in mid-range gaming and work systems equipped with an LGA 1700 socket motherboard. It belongs to the mid-price segment, designed for gamers, streamers, coders and visual content professionals who do not need the power of a 16-core Core i7 or 24-core Core i9. A feature of the Raptor Lake architecture is the division of active cores into 2 groups (powerful and energy efficient) to optimize the load, as is customary in mobile ARM processors.

Thus, the Intel Core i5-13600KF BOX includes 6 powerful Raptor Cove cores and 8 energy-efficient Gracemont cores. The former operate at clock frequencies from 3.5 to 5.1 GHz and are used in serious computing tasks. They also support Hyper-Threading technology, which allows each core to simultaneously execute two computational threads, greatly improving the overall performance of the processor.

Energy-efficient Gracemont cores are enabled for simple background tasks. Their operating frequency range is from 2.6 to 3.9 GHz. Unlike previous generations of Core i5 chips, this model can work both with the usual DDR4 RAM and with the new DDR5 class memory. The maximum clock frequency for DDR4 is 3200 MHz, for DDR5 - 5600 MHz. The maximum supported memory is 128 GB. The declared heat dissipation is 125 W, at peak load it can increase to 181 W.
