I’ve been using the i7 7700k for more than a year, the thermal interface under the cover is disgusting, I immediately replaced it with liquid metal, the temperature dropped by 20 degrees, it calmly runs at 4.9 GHz. It’s a good processor for the money, but I don’t recommend taking it; it’s better to look at the coffe lake i5 and i7 or the ryzen r5 1600 . good performance, easy overclocking up to 4.9GHz. Works well with GTX1080Ti for gaming. Temperatures can reach up to 70 degrees when idle, under dropsy, you will have to scalp and replace the heat-conducting interface under the lid with liquid metal. I7 7700 - top 8.5/10. Games, streams, videos - no problem. Powerful 9/10 Cold 8/10. Can be used for editing and rendering, in games load is 70%, so streaming is not a problem either. Heats up to 68 degrees, the price is not great, although I got it for 18k. use Intel Core i7 Kaby Lake few months |

Easier is better
The flagship processor of Kaby Lake - Core i7-7700K - brought not so many innovations, and in some ways even turned out to be simpler than its predecessor - 6700K. And strangely enough, these simplifications have benefited the 7700K. First of all, we are talking about the layout of transistors inside the processor chip - it has become less dense, more like Haswell than Skylake. This made it possible to reduce leakage currents inside the crystal and, thereby, to increase the overclocking potential.
Five plus
So, on brand new Z270 motherboards, the 7700K chip is guaranteed to accelerate to 5 GHz, and the most successful specimens even take the mark of 5.1-5.2 GHz. The result is simply excellent compared to the 6700K, which was only overclocked to 4.6-4.7 GHz. Extra half a gigahertz is not lying on the road.
Season Champion
As a result, we get the fastest processor for the Intel LGA1151 popular platform at the moment. Of course, you should not change the already existing i7-6700K, but if you are building a new gaming PC with one or two GeForce GTX 1080, then the 7700K is definitely your choice. Separate twelve-thread LGA2011-v3 processors are still designed more for professional video editing than for games, and cost radically different money.
