Optimal choice with Z890 chipset
The MSI PRO Z890-A WiFi motherboard is a great option for those who want to combine high performance and reliability at an affordable price. Despite the fact that it belongs to the mid-range class, its specifications, overall assembly, and chipset capabilities will satisfy even the most demanding users. A PCI-E 5.0 slot for a video card and one M.2 Gen5 slot provide incredible performance for both graphics and storage. Plus, three additional M.2 Gen4 slots provide even more storage options. The board supports DDR5 memory modules with a frequency of up to 9200 MHz, which has not yet appeared on the market.
Modern network functions and user-friendly software
The board's advantages are enhanced by the presence of advanced network technologies. Built-in Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 ensure fast connection to next-generation wireless networks, and the LAN port provides a stable wired connection with a speed of up to 5 Gbps. Thunderbolt 5 support is useful for working with high-speed drives, connecting external video cards and using monitors with a resolution of up to 8K. It is also worth noting the useful MSI AI LAN Manager software, which helps optimize network traffic in games, and MSI Center for managing AI, overclocking components, cooling and lighting.
Reliable power supply system
To ensure stable operation, the motherboard is equipped with a powerful power supply system with 17 phases (14+1+1+1) and an additional Supplemental PCI-E Power connector, which is important for reliability under high loads. The board has seven fan connectors, including support for water cooling, and also provides many options for connecting various devices. Large heatsinks on the VRM and M.2 slots provide excellent cooling, despite the controversial decision from an aesthetic point of view - the use of white heatsinks on a black PCB.
