Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f2.8E ED VR - 2 Year Warranty &#

The classic standard zoom now featuring Vibration Reduction image stabilization, Nikon's AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR Lens is a truly versatile wide-angle to short telephoto lens characterized by its constant f/2.8 maximum aperture and electromagnetic aperture mechanism. A revised optical design incorporates... morea unique aspherical extra-low dispersion element, in addition to three aspherical, two extra-low dispersion, and one high refractive index elements, to help reduce chromatic aberrations and distortions throughout the zoom range in order to achieve high image sharpness and clarity. {Key Features}
 - F Mount Lens/FX Format -; Aperture Range: f/2.8 to f/22 - ASP/ED, AS, ED, and HRI Elements - Nano Crystal & Super Integrated Coating 5; Fluorine Coated Front and Rear Elements - Silent Wave Motor AF System -; Vibration Reduction Image Stabilization
- Internal Focus, Manual Focus Override - Electromagnetic Diaphragm Mechanism - Rounded 9-Blade Diaphragm {;Overview} The Nano Crystal and Super Integrated Coatings further benefit image quality by reducing lens flare for improved contrast and color accuracy and fluorine coatings on the front and rear elements protect against dust, moisture, and smudging.
 Complementing the imaging capabilities, a Silent Wave Motor AF system produces quick, quiet focusing performance that suits both stills shooting and movie recording which can instantly be manually overridden by simply turning the manual focus ring. Further contributing to photographing in fast-paced situations and difficult lighting, VR (Vibration Reduction) image stabilization compensates for the effects of camera shake by up to four shutter speed stops. Additionally, an electromagnetic aperture mechanism is integrated into the lens design to provide greater exposure control stability that is especially beneficial when working with faster continuous shooting rates. {;Box Contents}

The iconic Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED zoom lens has been in production since 2007 and is still on the shelves of many camera stores. His successor was shown to the public in 2015. Big, expensive and really cool — he won the hearts of the lion's share of adherents of the Nikon brand.

Cardinal innovations

The key innovation that found implementation in the design of the lens was the optical image stabilization system with an efficiency of working out about 4 exposure steps. The stub on board is something that the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM, the inveterate “enemy” of the model, does not have. Also, Nikon engineers completely redesigned the optical design of the lens and introduced an electromagnetic aperture control function into it.

The nature of the image

The drive of the automatic focus system has also undergone improvements. The silent SWM motor catches the subject quickly, accurately and without error. Speaking of picture character, the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR delivers a soft and fluid image with excellent sharpness throughout the frame, starting from the wide apertures. The aperture of the model consists of 9 petals — in the blur zone, the lens draws a bokeh that is pleasing to the eye.

Pleasant small things

The zoom positions are strengthened by a few small things: fluorine-containing coating of the front and rear lenses with dirt and moisture repellent effect, responsive movement of the zoom rings and manual focus. A fly in the ointment in a barrel of honey is the solid weight of the lens (more than 1 kg) and its high cost. However, the high cost in this case is more than offset by the advanced optical characteristics of the model.
