Quiet and high-performance CPU air cooler with a classic U-shaped layout of 6 copper heat pipes, a large aluminium heatsink and two premium Noctua fans. Capable of cooling Intel/AMD Mainstream, Performance and High-End Desktop processors. To dissipate a large amount of heat, a two-section radiator design is used, consisting of 45 plates soldered to the tubes with a 2 mm pitch. The total calculated area is an impressive 12600 cm², which allows up to 220 W of heat to be dissipated.

The Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler is positioned as the top-end model of 2015, aimed at users who need a high-performance and extremely quiet cooling system that can cope with the cooling of top-end processors not only in normal modes, but also with moderate overclocking. For silent heat dissipation, two 140mm Noctua NF-A15 PWM fans with a seven-blade impeller are used. Thanks to PWM control, their rotation speed can vary from 300 to 1500 rpm. SSO2 branded bearings, which are durable hydrodynamic friction units with magnetic self-stabilization, deserve special mention. The cooler has rather large dimensions (height with fans 165 mm) and impressive weight (1320 g), which should be taken into account when choosing a case.

What can I say, this is the best cooler for cooling processors. Bathed for cooling I7-8700 with a reserve and for a future upgrade. It works without any complaints in the same way 5. Processor temperatures, generally speaking, are in the region of 29-70°C. The front fan, which is included in my collection, had to be raised by a third (as the RAM was a very high G.Skill Trident Z DDR4), which increased the height of the cooler itself, but the side panel calmly stood in its place, now You will lose a small amount of stock (Fractal Design Define case S Window). The cooler itself operates silently, turning on 50% of the turntables, but in Cyberpunk 2077, they are already spinning up much more, and the noise can be barely heard, but it doesn’t matter. Good equipment, including two types of mounts for Intel and AMD, a syringe with branded thermal paste, as well as a long metal screw. Skoda, at the time of purchase there was no chromax.black version for sale - a bonus for the original version.

The best cooler, truly top in its segment. It cools my 5800x with one turntable (idle - 45°C, under load up to 65-70°C). The second turntable is not needed at all, the difference will be at the level of error, left for the future (for AM5). Due to its dimensions, it will not fit into a case with a height of up to 170mm, keep in mind that it is with two fans. Because the second turntable will be higher due to the memory dies and as a result the height will increase to 175mm immediately (if there are also radiators for the RAM). In general, I have no regrets, I recommend it for hot stones. As a matter of principle, I don’t consider dropsy, because... Below there is a video card that costs twice as much as the entire computer.

And it's really very quiet. It's even quieter than the power supply!
1) The size is truly enormous, even in a large case, it occupies a very substantial space.
2) The color! It so happened that all the other components in my rig are completely black and this cooler looks out of place. Noctua, why aren't there coolers in black color?

Noctua NH-D14 was the flagship cooler that was praised by absolutely all the specialized media, bloggers and adherents of serious overclocking. In 2015, the Austrian company released the ideological continuation of Noctua NH-D15, which, 5 years after the release, remains one of the best and most popular cooling systems for powerful processors.

The perfect flagship cooler with no weak points

The cooler kept all the best from its predecessor and increased it. It's very well built, comes with a six year warranty, comes with a great package (thermal paste, adapters with resistors), easy to install, very high efficiency and extremely low noise despite using two fans. In tests, he showed himself at 10 out of 10. And we are not exaggerating. The temperature of the overclocked Core i7 9700K did not exceed 65 degrees Celsius, and the noise from the operation of the cooling system was barely distinguishable against the noise from the rest of the components. And this despite the fact that both fans worked at a maximum of 1500 rpm.

The fly in the ointment here is the same as that of the Noctua NH-D14. Due to the large dimensions, there may be compatibility problems with the graphics card, power supply, case or RAM. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out all measurements of the future assembly at the planning stage. Or use it with one cooler, lowering the height of the tower. In other respects, this is an perfect cooler for almost any Hi-End processor, after all, the TDP of 220 W gives a good amount of room for manoeuvre.
