Video reviews

Sigma's Art series is famous for its optical qualities — a full-frame zoom lens with a constant aperture of f / 2 can only be found among its representatives.

Aperture

Top lenses with the ability to change the focal length often have a constant aperture of f / 2.8. The Sigma 24-35mm f/2 DG HSM Art was the first full-frame lens to cross that threshold. It is based on the even faster zoom lens Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM A, which is designed to be used in tandem with cropped cameras. The set of focal lengths of the lens looks very interesting — it does not shine with variety and covers three main wide-angle values: 24 mm, 28 mm and 35 mm

Design

The optical design of the lens is very complex — it has as many as 18 elements in 13 groups, among which you can find both aspherical lenses and elements with a low level of dispersion. The main advantage of the design is that it is devoid of the so-called "trunk", i.e. when zooming and focus, the front of the lens does not move forward. The quality of the picture deserves high praise — it was not possible to get to the bottom of significant distortions or other parasitic effects (chromatic aberration, vignetting, etc.) during the tests.

True friend

Thanks to the wide-angle set of focal lengths, the lens will become a true friend for landscape photographers, street photographers and wedding photographers who will appreciate the lens in the first place. It will also show itself very well in the limited space of a photo studio.
