The TP-LINK Archer MR500 router from the Chinese company was announced in 2022 as a mid-range solution for home use. The concept of the model is aimed at providing uninterrupted internet supply through three connections — WAN, Wi-Fi, or SIM card. Channel redundancy is provided, with automatic switching in the absence of internet access. Wired connection is achieved through four gigabit LAN ports, one of which is universal.

The router allows the creation of a combined network (wired and wireless) with the capability for fast data exchange. The Wi-Fi 5 standard ensures data transmission in the 2.4 GHz (300 Mbps) and 5 GHz (867 Mbps) bands. The system's performance is sufficient for the simultaneous connection of up to 64 users. A key feature is the support for OneMesh technology, which allows synchronizing the operation of compatible equipment into a single seamless network.
