Round built-in acoustics
— the most popular form of built-in acoustics nowadays. The contours of such a column, in fact, follow the contours of the speaker, and the protruding parts are kept to a minimum. Actually, compactness is one of the advantages of such solutions. At the same time, we note that, despite their small size, round acoustics are most often made multi-band. So, the most widespread are two-way coaxial layout models, where a small tweeter is installed above the centre of the woofer; there are also more advanced designs, where there are even more bands and several additional speakers.
Another advantage of this option is the ease of preparing the seat: for many models, it is enough to drill a hole using a crown of the appropriate diameter. The disadvantages include the actual absence of a case as such, which increases the dependence of the acoustic properties of the speakers on the material of the surface in which they are installed. However, this moment can be compensated by the use of additional materials in the finishing of the seats.
