Thanks to this, the image hits the sensor already stabilized, and the entire sensor area can be used to build a photograph, which has a positive effect on the quality and resolution of images. This is the main advantage of optical systems over simpler electronic ones. In addition, an optical stabilizer can be used in combination with an electronic stabilizer, which further increases the efficiency. On the other hand, such systems are quite complex and expensive. Therefore, the presence of optical stabilization, usually, means a high-end front camera, created specifically for high-quality selfies.
