Recall that macro photography, for which such lenses are used, is a special mode that allows you to get very large and detailed images of miniature objects (for example, dew drops or a small insect). This mode is most often used as an artistic tool, but it can also be useful for other purposes, such as scientific ones. And the presence of a full-fledged macro lens means that the smartphone has quite advanced photo and video capabilities. At the same time, we note: the main camera is considered a macro lens only if it is capable of performing macro photography from a distance of 3 cm or less.
