Smartphones with DTS
DTS
— an audio technology from DTS that involves distributing sound not through individual channels, but through audio objects. The digital signal contains information about where (according to the director's intention) the object heard by the user should be located and how it should move, and the playback device processes this information and determines how to distribute the sound across the available channels to achieve the desired localization. Thanks to this, the audio technology is not tied to a specific number of sound channels - there can be as many as you like, and the system will automatically divide the sound between them, achieving the desired sound. As for specific DTS implementations, smartphones feature both DTS:X Ultra audio technology, which is aimed at creating full-fledged 3D audio for interactive entertainment (such as games and movies), and the more basic DTS Sound, which improves the overall sound quality, making it more powerful and rich, but does not create a three-dimensional sound effect.
