— phones with special protection from shocks and drops.The degree of such protection may be different, it should be specified separately; however, in most cases, it is enough for at least a safe fall from a height of about 1 – 1.5 m. In general, devices from this category are distinguished by a high degree of reliability — especially since they are almost always made waterproof (see the relevant paragraph). On the other hand, a thick layer of rubber on the lid and/or ends is usually responsible for shock protection — accordingly, the phone body turns out to be quite massive and bulky. In addition, this feature significantly affects the price. So shock-resistant models will be useful mainly in cases where your daily activities are associated with increased risk. In particular, such phones are valued by the military, rescuers, climbers, etc.
