The WP series from the Chinese manufacturer Oukitel includes entry- and mid-level Android smartphones created with an emphasis on shockproof properties and operation in adverse conditions. In addition to enhanced physical protection, many smartphones from this family have not quite typical additional features like a connector for accessories (for example, a santizer or a flashlight), a camera with night vision mode or a super battery with a capacity of 15600 mAh. And this is three times more than traditional everyday smartphones.


In the production of WP model housings, additional metal supports, several layers of protective material and reinforced protective glass are usually used, and the housing itself is usually sealed in such a way as to fully meet the highest requirements for moisture and dust protection. Thanks to this, the average VB smartphone can be used at extreme temperatures, dropped on the floor without grabbing the heart and washed under running water.IP68 and MIL-STD-810 certificates confirm that the average WP device is not afraid to leave the comfort zone.

By the end of 2021, the WP series already includes more than a dozen diverse protected smartphones. Most of them belong to the primary and middle class and run Android OS. As a basis, simple MediaTek processors are used (Helio in old tubes, Dimension in new ones) and 5.5 – 6.5-inch IPS displays with enhanced protection. In addition to battery life, Oukitel focuses on the quality of communication, so most protected smartphones are also equipped with high-quality GSM receivers, NFC and up-to-date wireless communication modules. And in 2021, Oukitel, along with other manufacturers, experimented with 5G. In particular, similar modules appeared in the WP10 and WP15 smartphones.
