— a relatively new type of USB connector, used in both desktop computers and portable devices — as the heir to microUSB. It does not differ much in size, but it has a more advanced design — in particular, it is made double-sided, which makes it easier to connect. Theoretically, the use of such an interface in headphones provides a number of advantages: reliable connection, high sound quality, resistance to interference, the ability to use remote controls and other additional devices. However, in fact, connecting via 3.5 mini-jack still often turns out to be simpler, more convenient, and most importantly, inexpensive. So USB-C is much less common.
