So that nothing distracts from work

The "ears" sit comfortably. They do not press. The headband is adjustable, the detachable cable does not tangle as it is coiled and has enough length (3 m) for sound engineer operations within the workspace. The package also includes a spare straight cable. In addition to the installed earpads made of traditional leatherette, there are velour earpads. To prevent your ears from sweating from prolonged use, it is better to install them immediately.

Apparently, for greater reliability of the design, the manufacturer decided not to make it foldable, but the cups are rotatable, adding some inconvenience during operation. You can come to terms with them, but this fact may deter some from purchasing.

The coveted button

The headphones have a useful automatic mute function. When you take them off your head, the headband lowers and presses a special button. This is very convenient when you need to quickly switch from headphone sound to external monitors. There is no need to remove the cable from the socket.

Alignment to the middle

Since the model is intended more for monitoring than for listening to music, its sound is so detailed that it even seems flat. The bass is distinctly audible, but it’s not the kind of bass that "bumps." There is a noticeable predominance of mid-high frequencies. Highs are flat, without peaks.

Headphone impedance is 55 Ohms, although it categorizes them as low-impedance ear monitors, it's better to work with them using a good sound card or amplifier. Then the stage will be as open as possible.

AKG K271 MKII are made in China, which is why their price of $150 for such technical specifications does not seem high. However, the simplistic design and unconvincing build quality are drawbacks.
