A multi-chip layout is used; TSMC's 4nm technology is now used to produce chiplets with x86 cores. The I/O chip is still manufactured using the 6nm process technology.

The AMD Ryzen 5 9000X processor lineup is part of the Granite Ridge family and represents the third generation of AMD CPUs for the AM5 platform. The series includes several 6-core/12-thread processors that differ in base and maximum clock speeds (ranging from 3.9 GHz to 5.4 GHz depending on the model), as well as the presence of integrated graphics. All processors are based on the Zen 5 architecture, designed for the AMD AM5 socket, and support PCIe 5.0 interface and DDR5 memory with frequencies up to 5600 MHz.

Ryzen 5 Granite Ridge processors are positioned as a high-performance and affordable solution for users who don't need a large number of cores or maximum performance associated with more expensive models like the Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 9. The Zen 5 microarchitecture provides a 16% increase in single-core performance compared to previous generations, as well as reduced latencies.

As with Zen 4, the manufacturer utilizes a chiplet layout, allowing different processes to be used for various components. For x86 cores, a 4nm TSMC process is now employed, allowing AMD to minimize characteristic variations and reduce defective units. The series incorporates new methods to enhance energy efficiency, which is particularly important for mobile and compact devices. Thanks to all these improvements, the Ryzen 5 Granite Ridge chips exhibit high performance in both office applications and resource-intensive tasks, including video editing, rendering, and modern gaming with high graphics settings.

An excellent stone for gaming tasks, if you want a stone for a modest price.

Bought as a replacement for the 10700f because it started stuttering in games, the stutters disappeared. In 2K, it comfortably delivers 100-120 frames on high settings.
1. Good performance and speed for gaming.
2. 30% cheaper than the 9700x.
3. The Curve Optimizer takes from 30 to 40 on negative.
Turns out it's not as cool as everyone says. Although everyone says that a tower cooler can handle it, you have to remember that its actual figures are not 65 watts, but 95 watts. When PBO is enabled, limits are lifted and heat release becomes 145 watts, which requires undervolting.
