Asus PRIME B650M-A II

The Asus PRIME B650M-A II is a compact motherboard for building PCs with next generation Ryzen processors and DDR5 memory. It is part of the Asus Prime universal line, which is aimed at entry-level office, multimedia and work systems. However, thanks to modern equipment and high-quality power, it can be considered as the foundation for an entry-level workstation or gaming PC. The board is equipped with an AMD AM5 processor socket and is designed to work with Ryzen 7000 series chips (Zen 4 architecture).

Despite belonging to the Prime office line, the model is equipped with a fairly high-quality 10-phase digital power subsystem, which is designed taking into account the power consumption of Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 processors. In addition, the board is designed to work with the new DDR5 RAM format: Asus PRIME B650M-A II can take on board up to 4 DDR5 modules with a total capacity of up to 128 GB and a maximum clock frequency of 6600 MHz.

For connecting drives, connectors of various classes are provided, including a couple of fast, like a young Hermes, fifth-generation M.2 slots with support for the PCI-E 5.0 bus, and 4 classic SATA 3 ports as a more familiar alternative. Despite belonging to the Prime series, the board knows a couple of tricks that are typical for gaming models from the TUF and ROG Strix series. In particular, it should be noted the Digi + automatic voltage stabilization system, Fan Xpert 4 utilities for point setting the operation of case fans or a water pump, as well as support for proprietary OptiMem 2 technology to optimize the operation of RAM.
