Model overview based on user reviews
The Canon EOS 77D kit 18-55 is a mid-range DSLR camera that offers a significant upgrade from entry-level models like the Canon EOS 700D. It features a 24MP APS-C sensor with improved dynamic range and reduced noise, making it suitable for high ISO shooting. The camera is equipped with the latest DIGIC 7 processor, enhancing its performance, particularly in video recording, which is Full HD at 60 fps. Users appreciate its excellent autofocus system with 45 points and the versatility of the included 18-55mm lens. The camera's build is lightweight, and it includes a touchscreen display for ease of use. However, some users note the absence of 4K video and find the USB 2.0 port outdated. While the camera is praised for its photo and video quality, some users suggest investing in a better lens for optimal results. Overall, the Canon EOS 77D is considered a great option for amateur photographers looking to explore more advanced features.

great model, love it

Cool SLR camera with a 24-megapixel matrix. It's just not worth comparing it with budget soap dishes in terms of image resolution. Here the price of each pixel is completely different. Due to the large physical size of the matrix (after all, 22x15mm), the photos are exceptionally detailed. I have never had such beauty, and for the first couple of weeks I constantly photographed my family and generally photographed everything that came to hand. A capacious lithium-ion battery allows this, on a single charge you can take more than 400 shots, much more)) It's a pleasure to shoot, the camera is comfortable to hold in your hands, everything you need to shoot and view photos is convenient to view on a bright 3-inch touch screen. It shoots very well on the machine, but when I started to deal with manual settings, I realized that I had to dig here for more than one week or two. Of the features, I note the very good quality of images at high sensitivity. ISO 1600 looks great, 3200 is acceptable and only 6400 already has obvious problems. What video does she make? The half-hour FHD videos at 50 fps are very good.
Thanks to the large lens, the dimensions and weight of the camera are immodest - you have to carry more than a kilogram. It's good when you're in a car, but if you're on foot, sometimes you think about whether you really want to take this camera with you ))
Rated 4 but with a minus

A successful combination of photos and videos, especially if you purchase a standard zoom lens
Convenient camera. For its class, it's somewhat expensive. I would like a sturdier and more robust body for such a price. You always have to be mindful of handling it with "care". There are enough shooting programs for an amateur photographer. After all, it's not a Pro camera!
Standard lens KIT 18-135 does not deserve more than a three. For video, it has connectors for a zoom control, which is its main advantage (for 2018 models "nano"). However, photos are terribly blurry. It performs a close-up portrait at a level of 4, but at a focus of 18, any point-and-shoot or smartphone will outperform. Shooting a group, even with the specified shooting mode, with face focusing and expecting detailed face processing is not worth it. Choose a good lens!!! The absence of 4K is not critical for home video. The video quality is NORMAL!!!
good model, I liked it.

I had a Canon EOS 700D, I bought it three years ago and used it with great pleasure. But at the beginning of this summer, one serious mechanical trouble happened to him, and I remained on the base of the camera. Since his 18-135mm lens remained, I decided to take another Canon, but a higher class.
Compared to the 700D, this is a higher class camera. Its sensor is newer, at 24MP, and the image resolution is 6000x4000 versus 5184x3456 for the 700D. But this is far from the most important point, it is important that the new sensor has an improved dynamic range and reduced noise when shooting at high ISO values. If the frame is not supposed to be printed on large formats, then you can safely set 3200 and not worry, the noise will be quite insignificant. Probably, the improvement of software processing also plays a role here. This camera is equipped with the latest and fastest DIGIC 7 processor, the power of which is especially important when shooting video. And the video this camera shoots is very worthy. 30-minute videos in 1920x1080 resolution at 50 fps can decorate both a family archive and any video blog, which is what my 14-year-old daughter does. I watched it on Youtube, I won’t comment on the content, but the picture is impeccable. By the way, for recording video with high-quality sound, a microphone input is provided here. And returning to the photographic advantages of this camera, it should be noted a good built-in flash, excellent autofocus that works on 45 points, correct exposure meters, normal white balance, excellent continuous shooting, a cool touch screen and a lot more on the little things. In reality, the camera is cool and it simply has no serious flaws.
High price. The viewfinder has insufficient diopter adjustment depth. My eyesight is -2.5, and here compensation is provided only up to a value of -1.5. I use the display in LiveView mode and rarely look into the viewfinder.
