A full-frame telephoto prime lens, designed for mirrorless cameras with Sony E and L-Mount (Leica SL) bayonet mounts. A key feature of this model is the support for macro photography with 1:1 magnification. The lens can achieve sharp focus from a distance of 29.5 cm. The model is also well-suited for portrait photography. The Sigma 105mm f/2.8 Art DG DN Macro is equipped with manual focus and aperture rings (works with or without clicks).

Additionally, the body features a focus lock button and a three-position autofocus distance limiter (for macro shooting/portraits/infinity). The optical design of the lens consists of 17 elements in 12 groups. One lens in the formula is made of special low-dispersion SLD glass. The diaphragm has 9 blades, and filters with a diameter of 62 mm can be attached to the front mount of the lens. The L-Mount version also claims compatibility with 1.4x and 2.0x teleconverters (these are not available for the Sony mount). The body of the model measures 74x134 mm and weighs 715 g, featuring dust and splash protection.
